Social commentator Japheth Omojuwa has responded to the call out from former Presidential Candidate Oby Ezekwesili who took to social media to demand an open explanation and an apology from him for using her name as one of the directors of his company Alpha Reach without her consent.
Recall that the former Minister of Education, Oby through her lawyers, Falana and Falana Chambers shared copies of letters demanding a public explanation and apology from him reached out to by someone who wanted to verify her position as the director in the company mentioned above. Ezekwesili denied being the director of the aformentioned company as stated in the letter from her lawyers.
It was gathered that the person who contacted her later sent a document from the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC which had her name as one of the directors of the company belonging to Omojuwa.
Omojuwa however confirmed being the owner of the company when the former Minister reached out for clarification. Meanwhile, he failed to provide the Incorporation documents of the company.
Finally, Omojuwa has reacted to the letter which Oby’s counsel wrote to him. Responding with a letter written by his counsel, Babalakin and Co on Wednesday April 14, Omojuwa claimed that he consented for her approval as a director in his company.
Additionally, the social commentator recounted how their friendship began and they became very good friends for many years. However, responding to the request of the former presidential candidate on the disclosure of the documents of the aformentioned company, Omojuwa said he will only fulfill her request once she has signed an undertaking that everything will be treated confidential.
Posting copies of his own letter on his Twitter handle, Omojuwa wrote
”Pastor @obyezeks, you served me legal notice publicly, so I was left with no choice but to serve you publicly too. PS: I won’t react to the unwarranted provocation from you, your sons & allies. You betrayed my loyalty, service & respect to you, for reasons I don’t understand.”
