Gideon Okeke, in a recent update on his Instagram page wondered the game doctors and medical practitioners are playing by holding prognoses meant to be shared to ailing patients as he claims the patients deserve to have the prognosis to their health status.

He espoused that beyond the service doctors render to patients or clients, the patient also pays for the information about what is wrong with them so that in the event that the doctor dies the patient can go to another doctor to proceed with his or her treatment from where the previous doctor left off.

He argued the prognoses is a classified information that is supposed to be shared between the doctor and the owner of the problem.

Sharing the video, he wrote;

Let Me learn from You what your take is. Na Ignorance I Dey O.

Reacting to his outburst, a doctor known as @ Dr Paulo Lisa wrote;

Lol, chai, this my brother Gideon u just scatter the table .OK it’s wrong for any medic, to withhold medical information from you. You paid for it and they must avail you all the information you need, should you decide to seek treatment else where. Most patients will go to a new hospital and they will be asked to repeat series of test same test they did in the former and this is not nice because you end up spending money again. As a patient you are entitled to all your records. The hospital /Doc, should make a photocopy for you and retain their own copy for record purposes. Gideon I forgive you it’s diagnosis not prognosis. Two terms are different. One is knowing the problem(Diagnosis ) the other prognosis is to predict the eventual out come of the problem .like una movie we can meet it half way and know how it will end.Thsnk u for speaking your mind. Our problem in this country is that we don’t know our rights and we don’t care. U will meet a doctor , he will ask you go do test , uvdo the test u are back he scribbles, and sends you to the pharmacy. Open your mouth ask him oga dokita, wetin, they do me, wetin the test talk. We have a long way to go.modt people have terminal health issues and don’t know and some Doctors won’t tell you.
