Watch Moment BOVAS Fuel Station Manager Took Staff To Herbalist Over Stolen Money [VIDEO]—A viral video showing a dramatic incident involving the staff of Bovas Fuel Station in Oremeji, Ibadan, who were taken to a local herbalist shrine by their manager to uncover the culprit behind missing company funds has emerged.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that in the video, all the staff, including the manager, were seen at the herbalist’s shrine undergoing the traditional investigation process.
The video also shows a man, claiming to be the manager, narrating to the herbalist how the money had gone missing, while a voice in the background is heard saying they are staff members of Bovas.
To the shock of many, it was revealed that the security guard, responsible for safeguarding the property was the one who had stolen the money.
According to reports, the manager had initially involved the police but was unable to get a clear resolution.
Frustrated by the lack of progress, he resorted to a local method to uncover the truth.
Meanwhile, The management of Bovas and Company Limited has suspended the manager for taking some of the petrol station attendants to a herbalist over an alleged theft incident.
This was disclosed in a statement on the company’s Facebook page.
Reacting to the video in a statement, Bovas condemned the actions of the yet-to-be-identified manager, describing them as unprofessional.
The statement noted that the manager had been suspended, and an internal investigation had begun into the matter.
It read, “It has come to our attention that an unfortunate incident involving one of our station managers has surfaced on social media.
This manager took inappropriate and unauthorized actions in addressing a theft case at the station.
Bovas and Company Limited categorically condemns this act and dissociates itself from any behaviour that contradicts our core values of integrity, transparency, honesty, and professionalism.
“Upon becoming aware of this incident, we have immediately suspended the station manager and begun a thorough internal investigation. We want to assure the public that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken, in line with our company policies and the laws of Nigeria.”
The company stressed that it was committed to maintaining ethical standards in its operations across all its stations.
“We remain committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct across all our locations. Our station attendants and managers are regularly trained on the importance of integrity and due process; we do not condone any actions that compromise this trust.
