An up-and-coming musician, Akorede, has claimed that budding singer, Crown Uzama aka Shallipopi, sampled his unreleased song and released it as his own.
He said he sent the unreleased song to someone to review, but the person handed the beats and lyrics to Shallipopi, who in turn recorded and placed it among the track list on his album.
Akorede shared an audio sample of his own song titled ‘Wait’ from 2021 and compared it to ‘Dey’ on Shallipopi’s newly released album which he said was the copied version.
According to the artiste, the industry has taught him a lesson with what the undisclosed person did to him. He also called out the Plutomania boss on Twitter and noted that he dropped his single on Apple Music long before the Elon Musk crooner taught started.
Akorede wrote in separate tweets; “Industry don dey teach me lesson before I even blow. Why would I send you my unreleased song to hear your opinion as my guy and you give my song to shallipopi
“Lol @plutomaniapopi I’ve been too sweet before you put your first song on Apple Music! TOO SWEET before you started. Uploading on audiomack @plutomaniapopi ..werey.”
