A man has been declared wanted for stealing a mobile phone belonging to a new member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Christ Ambassadors Youth Church on Peter Odili Road, Port Harcourt.
He was captured by the church’s CCTV camera absconding with the phone after the newcomer pleaded with him to charge it in a wall socket.
In a video making the rounds online, the suspect who is seen wearing a pullover sweater in a paraded himself as an usher, leading the phone owner to approach him.
When the newcomer asked him to help charge his phone, the suspect took it and pretended that he was going to plug it, but he left the church with the device moments later
Authorities and the church are now seeking information to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the crime captured on camera.
