Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has stated that they didn’t pay any ransom for Kagara School boys to regain freedom from their abductors.

Recall that on 17th February, bandits who were robed in military uniform attacked the Government Science College kidnapping 27 students, three teachers and 12 family members. These victims regained their freedom today, Saturday February 27.

Reacting to their release, the Governor said to journalists after he welcomed the students in his office;

“There was no ransom. We, however, incurred a lot of logistics because we had to involve so many groups even the logistics to bring them, and to settle the stakeholders. I’m referring to security agencies, our local vigilantes, our traditional rulers and other stakeholders” he said
