The current situation at Imostate cannot be described in words as tension as gripped the residents of Imo state after news came through that the Monarch has been a member was abducted by some unknown gunmen.
News has spread wide in the town of Imo State which has aroused some fear amongst people. The news has been broken that the traditional ruler and his entire cabinet members have been abducted by some yet-to-be-identified assailants.

The traditional ruler called Eze Charles Iroegbu of Umuezie community in Nguru, Aboh Mbaise Local Council area was kidnapped on Tuesday evening around 6 pm. Reports have it that, he wasn’t the only one who was kidnapped on that night but his cabinet members were all abducted by these unknown assailants.
The traditional ruler was kidnapped alongside his cabinet members when they were all returning from a traditional wedding they attended at the Ihitte-Uboma Council area of the state. According to a source, who spoke with the correspondent of Punch News, the traditional ruler and his cabinet were kidnapped at exactly the popular seven and a half junction in the Obowo area of the state.

He said: “The attack happened around the Seven and a Half junction, the gunmen simply blockaded the vehicle they were traveling in, pulled down the driver, and one of the abductors took the wheel and drove off with the monarch and his cabinet, while the rest of the gunmen followed closely behind in another vehicle.”
The police are currently looking into the matter.
