The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hosted Abdulazeez Abdulrahmon, the One-Day Governor and the overall winner of the 20th Edition of the Spelling Bee Competition, at Lagos House in Marina, in a commendable display of academic prowess and leadership potential.
Abdulazeez, a standout student from Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, was joined by his counterparts: Oki Sewanu, the One Day Deputy Governor and student of Ansar-Ud-Deen Senior Grammar School in Badagry, as well as Saheed Alimot-Odere, the One Day Secretary to the State Government from Jubilee Model Senior Grammar School, Coker Aguda.
The event celebrated not only the achievements of these young scholars but also the impact of educational competitions in fostering talent among the youth. Reflecting on the occasion, the governor highlighted the importance of investing in initiatives that empower students, stating, “These are the next generation of leaders, and I am confident that with continued support and encouragement, they will achieve great things and lead us toward a brighter future.”
