Governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara has disclosed that his administration intends to set up a panel to probe the eight-year tenure of former governor, and current FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.
Fubara made this known on Monday, 13 May after swearing in Dagogo Iboroma as the Attorney General of the state shortly after the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was screened and confirmed by the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led House of Assembly.
During his speech, the governor charged Iboroma to quickly set up the panel of enquiry to look into the activities of the state government in the last 8 years.
He laid emphasis on the state being in a critical situation where it had become obvious that the political crisis could not be resolved.
Fubara went on to accuse his opponents of deliberately sabotaging his administration while he was hoping that the issue in the state would be resolved amicably. He vowed to make tough decisions moving forward no matter how hurtful they would seem.
