Real Madrid secured their place in the Champions League final with a 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to two late goals from Joselu.
Following a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Munich, both teams were evenly matched in a tense first half in Madrid.
However, the game ignited after halftime when Alphonso Davies scored a spectacular goal for Bayern. Madrid’s Joselu then emerged as the hero, scoring two late tap-ins to seal victory for the Spanish side.
Madrid appeared to have equalized through Nacho, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review showed a foul in the build-up. However, Joselu came off the bench to score twice in the final minutes, putting Madrid ahead.
Despite Bayern’s late efforts, including what seemed like a valid goal from Noussair Mazraoui, the referee’s earlier whistle due to an offside call prevented VAR intervention, securing Madrid’s victory.
