It was reported earlier that the controversial street hop singer, Portable failed to meet his bail conditions hours after being arrested.
Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Benjamin Hudenyin, said the musician was unable to provide a surety so he will remain in detention pending when he’s able to provide one.
“He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us,” Hundeyin said.
Hundeyin explained that he only paid N13 million out of the N27 million for the car, and he has refused to pay the N14 million balance.
The police spokesperson further claimed that whenever the car dealer contacted the music star to pay the balance, he usually argued that the vehicle was bad.
Hundeyin said; “Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m, and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
