Outgoing US President Biden Strolls on Sandy Beach, Nearly Tumbles

Outgoing US President, Joe Biden stumbled several times while walking on the beach with First Lady Jill Biden near his home in Delaware on Sunday, November 10 according to a viral video capturing the moment.

Biden, 81, was seen struggling to maintain his balance on the loose, uneven sand, with Jill Biden reaching out and grabbing his arm to steady him at one point.

In the video, recorded by nearby reporters, gasps and chuckles were heard as Biden navigated the sandy terrain and narrowly avoided taking a tumble.

Conservative X channels widely shared the footage on social media, renewing discussions about the President’s physical fitness. The scrutiny surrounding Biden’s age and mental acuity had intensified after he made several verbal flubs and appeared disoriented on camera during his re-election campaign.

The Republican National Committee’s (RNC) media platform, RNC Research, posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it: “Biden is currently battling the sand at his beach house in Delaware. (The sand is winning).”

Right-wing podcast host Benny Johnson also commented on the video, quipping, “Joe Biden’s latest opponent: Sand.”

Biden ended his bid for the White House in July after a disastrous debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump, which raised grave doubts about his ability to serve a second term as President. The Democratic Party nominated Vice President Kamala Harris as its candidate to face Trump in the November election.

Following Trump’s emphatic win in last week’s election, Biden congratulated the President-elect and invited him for a meeting at the White House.
