Niniola Features South African Artist, Busiswa On 'Magun' Remix

Between releasing music videos for songs off her acclaimed debut album, This Is Me, Niniola has also been racking up pan-African collaborations. She joined Kagwe Mungai on “Till The End”; Heavy K on “Let Them Talk”; and has now enlisted Busiswa for the “Magun” remix

This remix is doubly special, as she takes it to South Africa whilst featuring another female artist — you know how we seldom get those. Niniola’s afro-house sound is eclectic enough to be malleable, and that’s why she can have such great synergy with so many different artists from all over the continent.

On “Magun”, Niniola sings about having an affair free of sex. She tells her lover that “only foreplay is allowed” because her partner has jazzed her with magun, a charm intended to prevent women from cheating on their husbands.

With additional verses from Busiswa, where, in her usual fashion, she alternates between English and Xhosa, the song is given more sass and audacity, making it even more enjoyable — a feat we didn’t think was possible.

Niniola is really outchea breaking boundaries and we’re all the way here for it! We can’t wait for what she has planned for us next!
