Nigerian senator and business mogul, Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South district, has died at the age of 48.

According to Sahara Reporters, the sad development broke on Saturday in a group chat of senators who had started to send in tributes.

The lawmaker was reported to have died in a hotel in London, the United Kingdom, two days after he flew out of Nigeria.

Ubah, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, had through his campaign council donated a total of N71 million to APC in Anambra State.

The donation, which includes N50million from the senator’s personal pocket, was part of his pledge to support the party and enhance its effectiveness in the state.

The senator joined the All Progressives Congress, APC from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) a few months ago and he was billed to seek the party’s ticket ahead of the Anambra State governorship election.

This is coming just few days after the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu passed on.
