Nigerian musician and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has mocked Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike following photos of him rocking designer wear.
Some photos which went viral on social media captured Wike donning a Versace logo-patch denim reportedly worth $1, 402 (approximately N2.1million).
The former governor of Rivers state was stepping out as he rocked the blue denim coat, blue pants, light blue shoes, and milk hat laced with blue, while holding a black staff.
Wike’s appearance elicited mixed reactions, and one of those who commented is Charly Boym who sarcastically applauded the FCT minister’s fashion sense.
Reposting the picture on his Twitter account, the singer wrote; “Monkey wear shuit and shuit. “Whether you like him or not, you must agree that he is brave when it comes to fashion. Kai, money miss road.”
alakowee commented; Only this one piece of clothing can pay over 106 people’s monthly salaries. Imagine what his entire wardrobe must look like, and how many people could actually benefit if these funds were used more wisely.
