Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Mayowa Emmanuel also known as Mayorkun, has offered to reward anybody who can find and return his stolen diamond jewelry.
Mayorkun, who performed at the Calabar Festival on Monday night, lamented bitterly after he was robbed of two of his expensive customised diamond pendant.
His colleague, Iyanya, a native of Cross River revealed that someone returned one of the diamond necklace, and they were looking for the second.
He said; “Thank you the guy who brought this back this morning to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR. Just returned now is 1 of 2 of @Mayorkun jewery. We have one more to go, my brothers if you have the second one please help us return it.
This one is still not been found, please check around, I’m sure we have it somewhere and will please return the second one to our brother, before he leaves Calabar. Just got Grand Hotel Calabar and drop it there, there’s a reward waiting for you on arrival.”
In a post on Twitter, Mayorkun promised to give N5 million to the person that gets the pendant back to him as soon as possible.
Giving an update on what was being done, the singer said he met the Cross River state governor, Bassey Otu, who promised to compensate him.
Mayorkun wrote; “Just met with the Governor of Cross River state, H.E Prince Bassey Otu. He assured me that Calabar people remain very hospitable and he has also stressed that I ll be compensated for my valuables lost. Thank you sir ????????
