Lateef Adedimeji Apologizes to Colleagues at Lisabi Premiere Amidst Star-Studded Celebration

Actor Lateef Adedimeji publicly apologized to his colleagues at the premiere of his upcoming film, Lisabi, acknowledging that he may have unintentionally wronged some during the production process.

The highly anticipated movie, co-produced by Lateef and his wife, Mo Bimpe, premiered at a star-studded event on Wednesday at Filmhouse Cinema in Lekki, attracting a host of Nollywood luminaries, including Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, Itele, and Ibrahim Chatta.

During the emotional evening, Lateef took the stage to express his gratitude for the unwavering support of his peers and fans. With a humble bow, he apologized for any hurt caused during the film’s production, explaining that the quest for perfection can sometimes lead to misunderstandings. He reassured attendees that the challenges faced were ultimately worthwhile, referring to Lisabi as a “perfect creation.”

His heartfelt apology was met with cheers and applause from the audience. The film, Lisabi: The Uprising, will be available on Netflix starting Friday, marking the beginning of an epic saga, with the sequel, Lisabi: A Legend is Born, set for release in January 2025.

Directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and produced in collaboration with Al Notions Studios and Anthill Studios, Lisabi features a talented cast, including Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Itele Yekini, Ibrahim Chatta, Mo Bimpe, Eniola Ajao, Liquorose Afije, and Lateef Adedimeji himself.
