A young lady who went viral for declining her boyfriend’s marriage proposal on the day she was signing out of the university, has explained the reason for her action.
CorrectNG recalls that the man stormed her school with a bouquet of flowers, engagement ring and N20 money bouquet to ask for her hand in marriage after she completed her final exams, but she turned him down.
The lady started chiding him for embarrassing her and he made several attempts to get her to accept but she remained adamant and at the end threw his bouquet at him and walked away.
In a video posted on Sunday to defend her action, the graduate started off by appreciating the boyfriend for everything he had done for her while she was in school.
She revealed that he used to give her ‘urgent 5Ks, 2Ks, bought her an iPhone X, and filled her gas, but she noted that their relationship was never going to lead to marriage.
In her words; “I don’t mean he trained me in school, but then again I am grateful for the urgent 5K, 2K, 3K, which he sends to my Opay. Abi is it the gas that he fills for me. I am very grateful.
“I could remember my last year birthday he bought me an iPhone X, 32 gig UK used. It’s fine, but the issue of marriage, ha…anyways, my decision is between me and God.”
