Nigerians have been keying into the Amapiano Movement ever since it started to gain continental dominance over other kinds of African music. Falz and Niniola were amongst the flock of Nigerian artists ti try their hands at an Amapiano song when they released Squander. Amapiano would seem like familiar territory for Niniola given her roots in Afro House music. However, despite having a laudable piano production, their song did not really take flight here in SA. Today, Kamo Mphela and Mpura seeks to breathe in life to the production with their Amapiano Remix of “Squander”.
Kamo Mphela is coming off the release of he short EP, Nkulunkulu. The project which featured the likes of Vigro Deep, Major League and MFR Souls was received relatively well by fans over the weekend.
