JUST IN: Oba Adejuyigbe II of Oyotunji African Village Stabbed To Death By Sister In United States—-A monarch, Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II of Oyotunji African village in Beaufort County, Southern Carolina, United States of America, has died.

The deceased was reportedly stabbed to death by his sister during a heated argument.

Authorities disclosed that Adefunmi was stabbed on Monday, July 29, 2024.

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, the BCSO communication centre, received a report of a stabbing around 2:45 p.m. at the village, which is located on Bryant Lane.

The victim, identified as a 47-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his wounds.

The suspect was identified as Akiba Kasale Meredith, 53, who had left the area on foot.

She was found after a short time.

Meredith was charged with murder and taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.

In an interview with Punch in 2017, the deceased revealed that he has seven wives.

Meanwhile, Mizanmil Abubakar, 29, has told security operatives the reason why he murdered his biological father.

Naija News understands that Abubakar killed his own father in the Barin-Sale area of Minna, the capital of Niger State.

Confessing to security operatives, Abubakar said he carried out the heinous act because of his hatred for the old man.

SP Wasiu Abiodun, the Public Relations Officer of the Niger State Police Command, provided details of the crime in a statement released on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

According to him, the Kpakungu Police Division received a report on July 29 at approximately 10 am, indicating that Abubakar Adawa, 65, was missing from his residence in the Barkin-Sale area of Minna.

Police officers from the Division, under the leadership of the DPO, visited the residence and summoned Mizanmil Abubakar, 29, and Aisha Abubakar, mother and son, for questioning,” he said.

The police spokesperson elaborated that a thorough search of the entire compound was conducted, leading to the shocking discovery of the dismembered body of the missing individual buried in a shallow grave within the premises.

It was revealed that during questioning, the son admitted to committing the heinous murder of his late father, citing deep-seated animosity towards him.

The suspect confessed to using a hoe to carry out the murder and dismemberment before burying the victim in the shallow grave on the compound.

The police representative mentioned that the initial investigation is still in progress, and the accused will soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Minna, for further scrutiny and prosecution
