Nigerian superstar singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed that his daily prayer is to win the Grammy.
Recall that the DMW boss secured three Grammy nominations last year. His album, ‘Timeless,’ was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category.
The artiste’s hit songs ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ were nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories respectively.
Speaking in a recent interview with British GQ, Davido said he has a Bible software installed on his tablet and he reads it regularly.
According to the music star, it gives him daily hymns and prayer points to pray with. He added that through out his lowest times, God has always come through for him, especially during moments when it seems all hopes has been lost.
The 31-year-old Afrobeats sensation also noted that just like his namesake ‘David’ who defeated Goliath in the bible, he will overcome all his challenges.
Davido said partly: “Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up.”
