An up-and-coming musician, Anuoluwapo Shodeinde, aka Skodo SKD, has said that the success stories late afrobeat icon, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Fuji legend, King Sunny Ade even the late rapper, Dagrin, fascinated him to venture into the music industry.
The singer revealed that started his music career at an early age, and was inspired by the aforementioned artistes, noting that he is poised to take the music industry to a greater height.
According to Skodo, he is an all-round musician and fans should expect to get a blend of Yoruba music, Jazz and Fuji sounds from him.
The ‘Bahd Boi’ crooner disclosed that he is preparing to announce himself to Nigerians by first holding a concert in his home state towards the end of the year.
Skodo said; “I got inspired from a young age by the stories of Fela Anukulapo-Kuti, King Sunny Ade and Dagrin. I am an all-round musician, and to me, afrobeats is more than just a music genre; it is a fusion of cultural expression, resilience and heritage.
Fans should expect a sweet combination of traditional Yoruba music, jazz, and fuji rhythms from me. Towards the end of the year, I will stage a concert in my home state, Ogun; but before then, I will release an album this month.”
