He did nothing wrong – Shan George weighs in on Nedu, Yvonne clash (Video)

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George has defended the actions of media personality, Nedu Wazobia in the ongoing social media fight with her junior colleague, Yvonne Jegede.

CorrectNG reports that Jegede and Nedu exchanged words on social media after he subtly shaded the young actress for issuing a public apology over comments about Yul Edochie she made on his podcast ‘The Honest Bunch’.

The OAP who did not mention Jegede directly, made a remark shortly after her post suggesting that she should have stood by her comments instead of backtracking.

The actress in turn lambasted Nedu for misunderstanding her statement, calling him a “narcissist and toxic” man who hates women, an accusation he denied.

Weighing in on the matter, Shan George opined that OAP Nedu did nothing wrong, rather Jegede should have been more conscious of her comments on the podcast.

George said: “The truth is that you have a right to speak out, stand to be corrected, and apologise when you offend. And that’s what Yvonne has done. And there’s no need to be escalating the issue.

“What Nedu has done is do his job. Nedu’s own is to ask you questions; to make you speak out. So at the end of the day, he hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s your duty to mind your words.

“But if you speak wrongly like we all do sometimes, then you apologise. So I don’t know why anybody is escalating this issue. Yvonne has said what she said and she has apologised. As far as I am concerned, her apology is enough.”
