German football star names Burna Boy as his favourite Afrobeats artiste

Germany footballer of Ghanaian descent, Benjamin Heinrichs has revealed that Nigerian Grammy-winner, Burna Boy is his favourite Afrobeats artiste.

He made this known in a video shared by sports journalist, Oma Akatugba as he also sang along to some of the self acclaimed African Giant’s songs.

The German DFL Pokal winner, who had a chat with John Jackson, mentioned the ‘Last Last’ crooner when asked to pick between king the industry’s leading trio; Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

When quizzed his favourite, Henrichs said; “Burna boy, because he’s making good music.”

The twenty-six-year-old German full-back then listed some of Burna’s hit songs, even vibed to some of them, explaining the sensational effect the music of the Nigerian superstar has on him.

“You know on the low, It’s plenty. You know, it’s good vibes. Davido and Wizkid are also very good,” he added.

American rap star, Joe Budden has said that Nigerian music sensation, Damini Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy is the biggest artiste in the world.

The media personality, in a recent episode Joe Budden Network podcast, said recognises Burna Boy’s status as a global music force but doesn’t appreciate him transferring the ownership of Jamaica-based artist, Byron Messia’s hit song ‘Talibans’ to himself after he was featured in the remix.

Joe Budden who was talking about the hit song, noted that even when Kenye West did something similar some years back, he was “vehemently against it.”

He said; “I’m never a fan of people transferring ownership of already existing songs to themselves after being featured in the remix. To the biggest artiste in the world [Burna Boy]. Yeah, I’m not a fan of when that happens

“If you made the hit, go work it. If Burna Boy is on it, that should be yours now. But I don’t know the business he [Byron Messia] and Burna Boy did. I never remember that going right for somebody. Designer and Kenye [West], I was vehemently against it.”
