EPL: Ten Hag Urges Patience as Man Utd Falls Short of Champions League

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has appealed for “patience” following confirmation that the team won’t secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The team’s 1-1 draw at home with Burnley on Saturday, coupled with Aston Villa’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea, means that Ten Hag’s side can finish no higher than fifth this season. This marks a decline from last season when the Red Devils finished third and secured qualification for the Champions League.

“We have a number of young players, and that’s why we’re rebuilding this club, but it takes time,” Ten Hag stated. “We’ve brought in young talents like Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Højlund, and Kobbie Mainoo, all in their debut Premier League season. The intensity of the Premier League increases each year.”
