Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has disclosed the instructions given to him by manager Erik ten Hag before he netted a brace against Brentford in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
Recalling his impactful performance off the bench that secured a 2-1 victory for Man United, McTominay shared insights into Ten Hag’s direction. Despite the loud atmosphere, McTominay explained in his post-match interview:
“It was very loud, the fans were roaring us on so I could not hear fully. He probably said something like: ‘Go on and score,’ which is what I did. That might be one of my favourite moments on a football pitch. Two goals at the death was incredible, but I am just happy to be able to contribute and show people that I can do it.”
