According to ESPN, Nottingham Forest’s appeal against a four-point deduction has been turned down.
The Premier League side received the penalty in March for violating Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Despite expressing disappointment and intending to appeal initially, an independent commission has upheld the deduction.
This setback places Forest in a challenging relegation fight. With Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad currently on 29 points, they hold a slim three-point advantage over 18th-placed Luton. Both teams have only two games left to play.
