Actor Stanley Nweze after analyzing how the AMVCA Awards is been held has said that it should be changed to Lasgidi/Lagos award to suit how things are being done.
The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards go beyond Nigeria but Stanley Nweze thinks it should be sincerely changed to Lasgidi/Lagos awards or something else because there are a lot of good actors and crew members in other areas under the same Nollywood.
According to him, there are equally some great actors and crew members working really hard that they all don’t recognize as they are only recognizing those in Lagos and around hence his suggestion of changing its name.

Stanley Nweze also added that he thinks AMVCA should have a commercial category so that the Enugu and Asaba actors can fit in because if skit/online content can be added to the award category, then why should commercial actors be left out.
Stanley Nweze seems not to understand a lot of things when it comes to the AMVCA awards and has aired his displeasure which most people agree with as the award seems to be for a certain group of people.
