Eid-el-Kabir: NATCOM calls for unity ,peace

Dr. Baba Mohammed, the proponent of the proposed National Commission for the Coordination and Control of the Proliferation Against Small Arms, Ammunitions, and Light Weapons (NATCOM), extended his congratulations to Nigerian Muslims and all citizens on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

“It is a celebration of God’s love and mercy to mankind,” Dr. Mohammed said in a press statement issued in Abuja.

Dr. Mohammed, who also holds the title of Madaki of Ankpa, emphasized that Eid is not just a festive occasion but a reminder of the virtues of forbearance and compassion as outlined in the scriptures.

In the spirit of Eid, he urged governments at all levels to implement measures that address economic hardships, insecurity, and other social challenges faced by Nigerians.

He also called for calm, patience, and tolerance from citizens, especially during the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dr. Mohammed extended special greetings to President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the leadership of the National Assembly, and Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, on the occasion of Eid.

He also conveyed his best wishes to RT. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, and General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff.

Expressing confidence in the current administration, Dr. Mohammed affirmed, “Nigeria shall be great again under President Tinubu.”

The NATCOM bill proposed by Dr. Mohammed aligns with the ECOWAS convention of 2006, to which Nigeria is a signatory.
