Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence “DJ Cuppy” Otedola, has taken to social media to relish her acting debut in the Hollywood superhero series, ‘Supacell’.
The series which was recently released has risen to number one on Netflix chart, beating top global TV shows on the international streaming platform.
Supacell is a British sci-fi series which premiered on Netflix on 27th of June 2024 and it is the first acting role that Cuppy landed.
The 31-year-old music producer made a cameo appearance as a disc jockey in the first episode of the series directed by Rapman.
Following the series’ latest achievement, DJ took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle to appreciate Rapman for the opportunity to be part of the project.
An excited Cuppy wrote: “Cupcakes! Supercell is the number 1 TV show globally on Netflix. [I’m] eternally grateful to RealRapman for giving me the chance to be part of this project. Now, we are currently the most viewed Netflix show in the world!”
Mixed reactions greeted her celebratory post as some social media users were of the opinion that she should have gotten more screen time.
