Nigerian content creator, Denilson Igwe, has maintained his claim that his former boss, Mark Angel was paying child comic star, Emmanuella, the sum of N20,000 monthly despite making millions of naira.
He made the assertive claim while speaking as a guest in a recent podcast episode where he called out Mark Angel Comedy for ripping him off.
Denilson said he founded the comedy show, however, Mark played him and was able to have sole control of their social media pages’ monetization.
After leveling the accusation on the podcast, he faced backlash online as some fans asked why he was coming out with the accusation after several years, while others doubted that Emmanuella was receiving only N20k despite being the star of their skits.
To prove his claim, Denilson Igwe shared a contract document and said; “Evidence plenty am not chasing clout. Just that some people felt they rich and influential. Forgetting days of little beginning, all the suffer, the struggle, the prayers for better tomorrow now the tomorrow don come .”
The contract read in part: “The Manager shall from time to time bring the Artist home to her family to re-unite with her siblings and shall also make for regular communication on phone with her parents.
“That the Manager shall pay to the Artist a monthly upkeep of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) only. The Parties hereby agree that a Guardian ad-litem shall be appointed in the person of Barr. (Mrs.) Jacinta O. Chinkere-Nwogu who shall be contacted on all issues concerning the Artist including travels outside Nigeria.”
