Nigerian music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has reacted to a debt allegation leveled against him by record producer, Napji.
The producer had claimed that he did some work for Davido on Fem, Jowo and Sunlight, however, the Omo Baba Olowo failed to pay royalties till date.
Napji said he produced the three abovementioned songs off the ‘Unavailable’ crooner’s 2020 album, ‘A Better Time,’ but was yet to receive royalties for the songs. He vowed release more details as he seeks to collect what he is owed.
Taking to his Twitter page on Tuesday, Napji wrote: “I am Napji, producer behind Fem, Jowo and Sunlight on @davido album (A better time).Which was released 13th November 2020.
“I was paid an advance of 500 thousand naira for each of the songs. I will be releasing more information as I seek to collect my royalties & publishing.”
Reacting to the accusation, Davido did not confirm nor deny whether his claims were true. But he quoted Napji’s post and insulted his father
The Grammy nominated artiste wrote; “Ur papa”.
