Afrobeats superstar, Davido roasts trolls who came at him as they clash over politics, following the conclusion of the Edo election.
The musician took to his X page to comment on the 2024 Edo governorship election that held on the 21st of September 2024.
He noted that being elected a winner and being announced as a winner are two separate things.
“Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024,” Davido wrote.
He went further to label INEC as the most dangerous institution in Nigeria.

He added that the reason why he’s interested in the election was because his late mom was from Edo state.
“My mom is from Edo for those wondering why I’m interested in the election … but we as Nigerians should be concerned sha .. @inecnigeria shame on you I know how many times I had to come in here and rant before they got it right in Osun ! It’s really bad . God help us”
One netizen opined that he wasn’t smart with his commentary on the election, and Davido reacted with a rebuttal, stating that it’s the troll’s father who lacks the quality of smartness.
“Well that’s MY president ? Is he yours??? NO !! NAH UR PAPA NO SMART,” Davido wrote.
