BREAKING: Premium Tears For Arsenal Fans As Haaland’s Brace Paves Way For Manchester City‘s 4th Premier League Title In A Row—Manchester City are in pole position to win their fourth Premier League title in a row after defeating Tottenham 2-0 on Tuesday and will win the league if they beat West Ham on Sunday.
Arsenal have been hoping that Tottenham do them a favour by beating City or picking a draw, but that was not to be.
After a goalless first half, City took the lead six minutes after the restart. Erling Haaland was the scorer. He found himself some space inside the box to get on the end of a pass from Kevin De Bruyne, then sent the ball low into the middle of the net to make it 0-1.
Earlier, Phil Foden was the one to unleash a good effort towards the left side of the goal. His shot, however, was saved by the goalkeeper.
In the 47th minute, De Bruyne was unlucky to have scored for City with a goal-bound effort from the edge of the box. A brilliant save by Guglielmo Vicario stopped the ball from going inside right post.
Two minutes later, Heung-Min Son latched on to an inch-perfect pass deep into the box and unleashed a low drive towards the middle of the goal. The goalkeeper reacted superbly and made a save.
In the 74th minute, Dejan Kulusevski had a great chance inside the six-yard box, shot low to the middle of the goal, but Stefan Ortega pulled off an exquisite save to deny him.
In the 87th minute, Heung-Min Son wove through the defence and got one-on-one with the keeper, but failed to score.
City added their second goal one minute into added time from the penalty spot. Haaland won the battle of wills and sent an unstoppable penalty past Guglielmo Vicario into left side of the goal.
City will play their last match of the season at home on Sunday against West Ham where they may likely be crowned champions again.
