BREAKING: Nigerian Governors Hold Closed Door Meeting In Abuja [DETAILS]—-Governors from the 36 states of the federation have convened in Abuja.

Under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, they met at the NGF secretariat in the FCT.

Those already present at the venue were Governors Lawal Dauda (Zamfara), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), and Alex Otti (Abia).

It was gathered that governors of Enugu, Peter Mbah and Borno States, Babagana Zulum, sent their deputies to represent them.

The agenda of the meeting not known.

However the governors at the last meeting had promised to give Nigerian workers a fair minimum wage, and this is the first public meeting of the forum since President Bola Tinubu approved a N70,000 minimum wage.

As a forum, the governors are also likely to comment on the raging debate about the planned nationwide protest against bad governance as well as the recent Supreme Court judgement on local government autonomy.
