BREAKING: Havertz And Musiala’s Goals Sends Germany To Euro 2024 Quarter Finals—Host Germany beat Denmark 2-0 on Saturday to reach the quarter-finals of the ongoing Euro 2024 in their country.
After a goalless first half, Germany took the lead from the penalty spot 53 minutes into the game. Kai Havertz won the battle of wills and sent an unstoppable penalty past Kasper Schmeichel into the bottom right corner.
Earlier on 48th minute, Denmark thought they had taken the lead as they put the ball in the net but the goal was ruled out for offside.
In the 59th minute, Havertz nicely turned his man inside the box but placed his effort just wide off the right post.
Germany doubled their lead in the 68th minute. Nico Schlotterbeck slipped the ball through to Jamal Musiala, and he darted into the box to unleash a magnificent shot into the bottom right corner.
Germany scored a third goal two minutes into added time through Florian Wirtz but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Three minutes later, Havertz ran with the ball towards the keeper and pulled the trigger from close range, but Kasper Schmeichel anticipated his intention and made an amazing save to stop the shot going into the bottom right corner.
