BREAKING: Chelsea Signs Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall From Leicester?—Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement for Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The 25-year-old was pivotal in the Foxes’ promotion back to the Premier League last season, scoring 12 goals and assisting 14 in 44 games.
Dewsbury-Hall has been at Leicester since the age of eight, but is on course for a summer switch away from the King Power Stadium.
TGM gathered that Brighton were keen on signing him following a failed move during the January transfer window.
But it is Chelsea that have made the first move, with Enzo Maresca keen to reunite with his former star.
It is understood that Chelsea have reached an agreement for a £30million deal.
Dewsbury-Hall has featured 129 times for Leicester across all competitions, with his senior debut coming in January 2020.
He was selected in the 2023/24 Championship Team of the Season and was named as the Foxes Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season.
Their Championship-winning campaign saw Dewsbury-Hall play 49 games under Maresca, who has now moved to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian’s move to join Chelsea as their new head coach was confirmed at the beginning of June.
Given the success Maresca had with Dewsbury-Hall, it may not come as a surprise to see the pair potentially work together again.
Chelsea have already confirmed two signings this summer, with centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo the first on a free transfer.
The Blues also announced they have agreed a deal with Brazilian side Palmeiras for Estevao Willian, who will join next summer.
