Actress Abiodun Adebimpe has pleaded with Nigerians to her comic actor Baba Ijesha‘s side of the rape story before canceling him.
Baba Ijesha was accused of raping an underage girl a few days ago and has been dragged and backlashed on social media but then Abiodun Adebimpe has come to his defense saying he should be given the benefit of the doubt.
According to Abiodun, she’s a woman who has a sister and a daughter hence doesn’t support what Baba Ijesha allegedly did to the young girl and wouldn’t want any to happen to any lady but then he should be given the chance to talk.

Adding that they should at least hear his side of the story before saying or do anything against him even though rape isn’t something that needs to be condoned but then people are eager to spread negative news about celebrities.
To her, celebrity news is cancer in Nigeria, and looking at how to cancel culture has been the first approach about the allegations levelled against him isn’t right hence Nigerians should hear both parties out before condemning him as social media isn’t court.
