Tributes have poured in from Nigerians on social media after popular pastor and the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Enoch Adejare Adeboye. lost his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye to the cold hands of death.
According to reports, Pastor Dare, 42 died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was staying with his family.
It was gathered that the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region (Youth) 35, had ministered the previous day.
Following the sad news of his death, Atikuand some personalities took to their social media pages to react to the death.
Atiku wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with the family of @PastorEAAdeboye in t his trying time. I pray that God will comfort and strengthen him and his family by His mercies and grace.”
Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister of Education, also reacted to the death of Adeboye and wrote: “This cuts hard, Pastor @DareAdeboye . We find comfort in the word of God. Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.”
Reacting on Facebook, Leke Adeboye, brother of the deceased also reacted to the death and wrote a verse of scripture from Isaiah 57:11 that reads, ” “The righteous man perishes(at the hand of evil), and no one takes it to heart, Faithful and devout men are taken away, while no one understands. That the righteous person is taken away(to be spared) from evil and disaster.”
