“All I asked for was joint custody” – Davido reacts to Sophia Momodu’s 102 paragraph counter-affidavit

Afrobeats star, David “Davido” Adeleke, has reacted to his baby mama, Sophia Momodu’s appeal for court not to grant joint custody of their child, Imade Aurora Adeleke.

She had filed 102 paragraphs of counter affidavit through her legal team, Anthony Idigbe SAN and Dr Bimpe Ajegbomogun as her defence in a lawsuit initiated by the musician.

Momodu claimed she has “solely shouldered” responsibility for their daughter for the last two years and she is also not guaranteed of the girl’s safety since Davido’s son, Ifeanyi died in an unfortunate domestic mishap during one of the musician’s numerous travels.

She told court; “The Applicant is an artist who always travels around the world as mandated by his career and cannot possibly be with our daughter at crucial times. The Applicant is married to another woman, and they live together. The proper upbringing of our daughter by another cannot be guaranteed.

“The fact that the Applicant lost his son in his house in rather unfortunate and questionable circumstances shows that our daughter cannot be placed in the custody of the Applicant.”

Reacting to her claims, Davido took to his Twitter page on Friday and mentioned how she’s tried everything to be present for Imade but Sophia keeps using the death of his son to justify why she denies him access to Imade.

He tweeted; “Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!”

“All I asked for was ‘joint custody’ but cus it’s davido yall wanna act like yall can’t read! SMH I’m off this … yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you.”
