Actress Yvonne Jegede devastated as she loses child to cholera

Popular Nigerian actress, Yvonne Jegede has revealed that she’s lost one of her children to cholera disease currently menacing the country.

The movie star and filmmaker took to her Instagram page on Sat. July 20 to mourn the passing of the boy whom she said is named Olamide Ajimuda.

Yvonne revealed that she met Olamide when he was in Primary 4 and she has been sponsoring him as the sole financial supporter up until this very moment.

According to the grieving mom, the kid was getting set to enter Junior Secondary School 3 (JSS 3) after the summer break, unfortunately, the disease took him from her.

In the same post, the actress shared a bittersweet update on the achievements of her other two children, disclosing that they recently graduated from secondary school, one of whom is Olamide’s sister.

She also expressed joy at the fact that they are progressing academically despite her not being limitlessly wealthy since 2019 that she became their guardian.

Yvonne Jegede wrote; “I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in Primary 4 and was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart.

“I am also happy that two of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through. Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda“.
