Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the allocation of over 33 billion naira to finalize significant road projects initiated by former Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, Managing Director of the Kaduna State Road Agency (KADRA), announced this decision on Monday in a statement to the press in Kaduna.
He emphasized that Governor Sani’s administration is dedicated to enhancing the living conditions of the citizens who largely supported his election.
Among the projects included in this initiative are the Pan Drive Road, which holds historical importance and serves as a critical connector between various parts of the city, facilitating access to numerous industrial sites and fostering economic growth in the area.
“We are upgrading Sultan Surami Road to improve connectivity and promote economic development. Additionally, we are working on the dualization of Rabah Road, which stretches from Arewa House to the Rigasa train station, featuring an overpass at Arewa House and an underpass at the Nnamdi Azikwe bypass.
This administration is also focused on reconstructing and expanding Ohinoyi Road and revitalizing Unguwan Rimi Road to enhance traffic flow and accessibility.
Furthermore, the Kafanchan Dualization and Expansion Road, extending from NEPA Roundabout to Ungwan Rimi Bridge, along with Emir Palace and Hospital Road, will also be completed under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership.
Ahmed highlighted that these projects reflect the current government’s commitment to infrastructure development and its determination to complete the initiatives begun by previous administrations.
