Don Jazzy’s Supremos FC joins Lagos Liga 2024

Renowned music mogul Don Jazzy, known for shaping some of Africa’s biggest hits, is now venturing into football with the launch of his own team, Supremos Football Club. The club is set to compete in Lagos Liga, one of Africa’s top private football leagues.

“Lagos Liga presents a great opportunity to blend my love for football with my dedication to nurturing talent,” Don Jazzy shared. “I’m eager to apply my team-building expertise to this exciting new challenge.”

The Liga will feature intense 7-a-side football matches played in Lagos, with teams vying for the grand prize of ₦50 million — the largest per-game prize in Nigerian football history. Aside from the action on the pitch, fans can enjoy side attractions like the Fans Challenge and Skills Challenge, where they can win thrilling rewards.

Don Jazzy’s success in the music industry is unparalleled. As the co-founder of Mo’ Hits Records and CEO of Mavin Records, he has discovered and mentored some of Nigeria’s biggest stars, including global sensations Rema and Ayra Starr. His innovative approach has earned him numerous accolades, and he now seeks to bring that winning formula from the music studio to the football field. With Supremos FC, Don Jazzy aims to provide a platform for non-professional and former professional players to showcase their talent and compete for life-changing prizes.

Supremos FC will compete alongside several other clubs already registered for Lagos Liga’s inaugural season, including Mavbrooks SC, founded by accountant and entrepreneur Ayodeji E. Olowe; Applebee FC, co-founded by Travelbeta’s Nnazilim Egbuonu; Firecrackers FC, led by tech entrepreneur Stephanie Etiaka; Jarus FC, created by Suraj Oyewale of Jarus Homes; and Superstar FC, founded by tech entrepreneur Seye Bandele. Additional clubs, including one from another Afrobeats icon, are also in the registration process.

Lagos Liga is set to attract fans and scouts from around the world. Don Jazzy’s move into football highlights his entrepreneurial drive and commitment to uplifting African talent. Will his success in the music industry translate to football? With his track record, the odds seem to be in his favour.
