Megastar Awards Promoters Announce Major CSR Initiative in Abuja

Megastar Awards promoters, and publishers of Megastar Lifestyle Magazine a leading print publication, has announced plans to roll out a massive corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in Abuja aimed at improving the lives of residents in the nation’s capital.

The Executive Director of the project, Adeniyi Ifetayo Moses, shared this exciting development in a statement on Thursday. He revealed that following plans for the prestigious Megastar Man of the Decade Award (MMODTA) ceremony, which will take place in Abuja, the magazine will embark on impactful CSR projects in key locations across the city.

The initiative will include the construction of modern toilet facilities, borehole projects, and the provision of school furniture for educational institutions within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), among other community-focused efforts.

The MMODTA, set to be a first-class event, will recognize distinguished individuals for their significant contributions to nation-building. Scheduled for December 1, 2024, the ceremony will be held at the prestigious Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Abuja.

Highlighting the meticulous preparations underway, Ifetayo stated, “We have secured the Marquee at Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments, and the Megastar Man of the Decade Award will be hosted by CNN’s Senior Editor for Africa, Stephanie Busari.”

Adding to the allure of the event, Nigerian music sensation Teni Makanaki will perform, while top comedians MC Shotcut and MC Bob will provide comic relief.

Addressing the profiles of the awardees, Ifetayo, a luxury and lifestyle journalist, disclosed that the awards will honor corporate bodies and government agencies that have made remarkable strides in improving Nigeria’s fortunes over the past decade. The event will also include posthumous awards to individuals whose legacies continue to impact society positively.

Additionally, the Friends of Nigeria Award will recognize foreign nationals whose businesses or services have significantly contributed to the country, as well as members of the Nigerian diaspora who have been exemplary ambassadors.

The theme of the awards ceremony is “The Nigeria of My Dream is Possible”, and a prominent good governance advocate has been selected to deliver a keynote address on this inspirational topic. The ceremony will be broadcast live on major television stations across the country.
