Moment American Rapper Ybcdul Was Shot And k*lled in West Philadelphia While Riding Bike has emerged.

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Rapper YBC Dul real name Abdul Vicks has been shot dead in a ‘revenge shooting’ in the Olney neighborhood of the city of Philadelphia.

6abc reports a 25-year-old male was shot dead around 3:34 p.m. Friday, August 23rd on the 5500 block of N. 6th Street.

Later identified as the Rapper YBC Dul with the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) Collective, the death of the young, brash, gang-affiliated rapper who has been described as the ‘most hated rapper in Philly’ and who self-identified as ‘Mr Disrespectful’ sparked some interesting social media reactions.

While the death of Mr Disrespectful goes viral all over social media, in this article we present some information about the life and career of YBC Dul.

YBC Dul Real Name, Career, Wiki, Death

YBC Dul real name Abdul Qadir-Vicks was a Philadelphia based rapper, part of the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) collective who was shot and killed on Friday, August 23 2024 in the Olney section of the city. He was 25.

Vicks was born July 5th 1999 and started his music career in the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He released his first single, ‘Criminal‘, on April 29, 2022.

While a talented rapper, Vicks mostly gained notoriety in the Philly rap scene due to his involvement in a feud and gang war between his collective, the YBC and several other rap/gang collectives.

YBC Dul went viral in February after he shot a video digging up the grave of an opposing rival (opps) who had been shot and killed, presumably by his collective.

The video went viral and catapulted Dul to online infamy. Unsurprisingly, that has been one of the most quoted incidents following his death as many are not to surprised to find out someone finally smoked him.

The origins of YBC and the gang war

YBC Dul and his collective have been involved in a long-running civil war in Philly that is believed to have culminated in the shooting that led to his death on Friday.

As brilliantly chronicled by Brandon Buckingham in a viral interview he had with Dul, uploaded literally a day before the rapper ended up being shot in Philly, the name YBC was coined in 2017 by Baby Con and Jae100.

The group apparently started out as a collective simply ‘chasing the bag’ as it were in the mean streets of Philly. The group also spawned a subset, YFA.

After a couple of years mainly sticking to their original mission, the group got pulled into a never ending cycle of violence, revenge and more violence when teen member, Joshua David Munson aka YBC Josh, was gunned down on May 29, 2019.

About a year later in March 2020, a young man named Buddy was gunned down in Philly, with many believing the shooting was revenge exacted by YBC Dul and his associates for the death of Josh.

This was seemingly confirmed in ‘Criminal’ where YBC Dul bragged about “smoking Buddy out the motherf*cking pound,”

That began a pattern of Dul mostly bragging about his group’s gun violence in his music and eventually culminated in his taking things to a whole other level by digging up a grave.

This cycle of shooting and counter shootings leading to more gun violence continued.

Following the murder of another opps known as Sid, YBC Dul again mocked him on wax, rapping in ‘Best Pack’ alongside Eem Stacks and Jae10: “Mix the fro (Sid’s nickname) with the stripe that sh*t hard. It got me tripping,”

According to Buckingham, Dul claimed responsibility for eight murders in just 2021 and more since. His body count and disrespectful attitude made several rival collectives to form a super collective to come after him.

Nevertheless, YBC Dul survived for a long time and even carried out an interview a mere day before he was shot. It appears his luck finally ran out Friday, August 23rd as his opps finally took him out.

RIP YBC Dul aka Mr Disrespectful.
