The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has sealed several establishments for violating the state environmental laws in the Lekki Phase I area of the state.
The state Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in a post shared on X.com on Friday.
He wrote, “This proactive measure by LASEPA underscores its commitment to fostering a serene and sustainable environment that prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility.”
According to Wahab, the affected establishments, including Kingfisher, Red Lagos, Logic Church, and Bolivar, were found to be non-compliant with environmental laws despite prior warnings.
He also stressed that the agency’s action is part of its efforts to uphold environmental regulations and combat noise pollution.
Earlier in August, the Lagos State Government also sealed off Landcraft Industries Nigeria and Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light), for noise and environmental pollution-related offences.
