DJ Cuppy grieves as her grandmother passes on

Ma Kaduna, the maternal grandmother of popular Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, is dead.

Cuppy broke the sad news of her demise in a social media post on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, while noting that she’s finding comfort in the knowledge that she was now “in heaven” and looking down with love.

The ‘Gelato’ crooner also stated that she was grateful for how her grandma raised her mother who in turn raised her to be who she is today.

The famous DJ expressed hopes of continuing the tradition of proper upbringing or her kids and emphasised that she is praying for her own.

DJ Cuppy wrote: “My mummy’s mother has passed away. I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived!

“I’m so grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time. Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us #RIP.”
