A man has been exposed after he masterminded the stealing of a Toyota Corolla in the Federal Capital Territory, which belongs to his close friend.
One of their friends took to microblogging site, Twitter (X) to narrate how the suspect made arrangements for his friend’s car to be stolen while they were praying together in a Mosque.
The theft occurred earlier in May and the owner of the Toyota, Harris raised an alarm after the car went missing during prayers at a Mosque in Limpopo street, Maitama, Abuja.
The young man appealed to the general public to report to the nearest police station if anybody sees the car with government number plates, in any location.
Harris had written; “My white Toyota Corolla with government License plates 02B-154FG just got stolen at Limpopo street, Maitama, Abuja during Jumaat prayers. Please report any sighting of the vehicle to the nearest police station. Thank you.”
Giving an update on the matter in July, the third friend identified as Mukhtar who had in a post revealed that he saw someone driving the car along Abuja-Kaduna road, added that the white coloured Toyota was found in Niger state.
... reads; “To God be the glory. This car that was stolen has been found in Niger State. The car was actually stolen with the connivance of a friend. Funny enough, the car owner and the friend went to the mosque together, and while they were praying, the friend coordinated the stealing.”
