Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, through his media aide, Olawale Rasheed, has issued a security alert to the public following the hacking of his phone.
In a statement released during the week, Rasheed urged the public to disregard any calls or messages originating from the governor’s number, +234 803 365 7555.
The statement reads in part; “This is to alert the general public that one of the telephone numbers of, Governor Ademola Adeleke has been hacked. Please ignore any solicitation from +234 803 365 7555.
“Authorities are currently investigating the breach and are working diligently to secure the governor’s communication lines. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.”

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim recently disclosed that he detected over 277 guns around the Senate chamber with the help of some installations on his phone.
The lawmaker representing Ondo South Senatorial District made the revelation during plenary, while speaking on how to tackle insecurity in the country.
Ibrahim, who was contributing to a motion raised by Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South over the recent bombings in the North-East state, called on stakeholders to take action, stressing the need for technology in the fight against insecurity.
He said; “I don’t want to take much of your time but I will say clearly it costs nothing for the intelligent army to get devices in their phone to know where these notorious criminals live.
“As I am here, I check my phone regularly and I know the number of guns that are very close to me here. This is just less than one thousand installations. Within us now, there are over 277 guns around here just because an armoury is close to this place.”
Senate President Godswill Akpabio asked him; “Of the 277 guns around you here, do you know how many of them have bullets inside?” Ibrahim said since there is an amoury close to the National Assembly, the senators were safe.
In response, Jimoh said; “So, what I am saying? We can use technology, just like distinguished Senator Ndume had said, to deploy technology rather than using soldiers.
“I want to say very clearly that the military should stop using unconventional strategies to fight insurgency in Nigeria. There is a distinction between unconventional and conventional strategy. We need to use conventional strategy to fight unconventional war. Boko Haram is an unconventional war”.
