Indian billionaire, Ambani reportedly pays Rema $3m to perform at son’s wedding

Emerging reports suggest that Afrobeats superstar, Divine Ikubor aka Rema, has been booked to be at the wedding of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Amban for a huge sum of money.

The Nigerian singer, who just arrived in India to perform at the occasion shared a video on Instagram Thursday night, where he can be seen walking towards a private chartered plane in an all-black outfit.

The ‘Dumebi’ crooner added ‘Azaman’ off his recently released sophomore album, ‘He Is,’ as background music and posted an emoji of an Indian tricolour.

Hindustan Times reports that Rema is charging ₹25 crore ($3 million) to perform his global hit song ‘Calm Down’ as Anant Amban tie the knot with daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, Radhika Merchant.

It was gathered that multi award-winning pop star, Justin Bieber got a whopping $10 million to perfor at the event. International musiciain, Rihanna was also billed to perform at the event for an undisclosed fee.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Centre (BKC) in Mumbai.

The four-day wedding extravaganza in Mumbai city is the final stop in a string of lavish parties the family has hosted since March.

Kim Kardashian and former UK PMs Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish PM Carl Bildt, and former Canadian PM Stephen Harper are some of the prominent people who will attend the wedding.
